Your Church Is growing,

What Next?

  1. Meet with the leaders of your church to list and review what you all believe are inadequacies in your present facility.

  1. Talk to your congregation. Once you and your church leaders have established the building and property inadequacies, share them with the members, THIS IS IMPORTANT.

  1. Prepare a financial plan, observe your church’s financial performance.

  1. Buy your property, whether it is land surrounding your present facility or a new site location.

  1. Choose your architect. Interview several you’ve had recommended to your church and be sensitive to how well each of the candidate’s philosophies and experiences “match” with your project. Once a decision is made, send your architect to the drawing board to prepare preliminary drawings in line with the church-approved development program.

  1. When your architect has completed this part of his job and plans have been approved by the building committee. Go back to the church with a progress report. Share the plan or possibly a color rendering – of their new church home.

  1. Start your fund-raising campaign

  1. When the building committee and the church have made the final approval of the architectural plan, choose your builder, with the help of your architect.

  1. Begin organizational enlargement, leadership training and promotional activities just as soon that first shovel has broke ground – if not before.

  1. Project completion, what a great day!!!
